Our 19th annual Paws and Pals event, held on November 2 at Der Dutchman, turned out to be a great day!
We wish to thank all of our sponsors listed below along with everyone who attended our event.
We look forward to seeing all of you again in 2025.
Without Dana, all of us would not be sitting here tonight. Dana and a few others started the Humane Society back in 1989. The struggle to get things established was real. They had to start from scratch. They dealt with many people who thought that Madison County did not need a Humane Society, as the county already had a dog pound. But she persevered. There were ups and downs throughout the years. The Humane Society took over the operation of the dog pound in 1998. Over the last 35 years she has held many roles, currently, as the 2nd VP of the board and our business manager. She makes sure that all i’s are dotted, and t’s are crossed (thanks to her OCD and many years working in the government). She deposits the money. She learned Quick Books and has spent hours getting our financials legible and accurate. She tracks donors and sends out thank you letters, she makes sure that we are in compliance with rules regarding fundraising and our non-profit status. Even though in this volunteer position you’re not in the spotlight, you are the backbone of the shelter. Please know that the shelter could never have gotten where we are without your hard work. We are forever thankful for the time you have given us.
You have made an unforgettable difference in the lives of animals in Madison County!
We are thankful for the generosity of our local partners
